This role is responsible for:
Working closely with Product Owners, Developers, and other Designers to define and design the next-generation platform. They’ll be experienced in UX and UI design, usability, motion design and design systems. In addition, a good understanding of the UX design process.
General responsibilities include:
Work with product teams to understand user needs and identify key journeys. These are likely to follow a ‘Design Sprint’ pattern.
Define and design industry leading UIs for products.
Design easy-to-understand end-to-end flows and use tools such as Figma to demonstrate how a particular flow or interaction will work.
Demonstrate a deep interest in our users, what drives and motivates them and develop an understanding of their needs.
Ensure consistency, re-use and brand alignment.
Present ideas and supporting strategies to other teams or senior management.
Knowledge/Experience
Demonstrable experience designing complex UIs as part of a cross functional team.
Visual design experience with proficiency in typography, UI, colour, layout, iconography, and aesthetic sense.
Experience with design systems.
Experience in strategic product thinking with the ability to understand product goals, identify opportunities, and make decisions based on the impact to people and the company.
Experience in user research and a desire to talk to end users is not 100% required but would be a plus.
Experience in institutional credit markets, market data and post-trade services, and credit instruments such as corporate bonds and other types of fixed income products is not 100% required but would be a plus.
Skills/Personal Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a user experience designer, visual designer, interaction designer or similar role.
Interaction design experience with ability to define how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs.
Experienced in Figma, other prototyping or animation tools, a bonus.
Organized and able to manage complex design structures and design systems.
A flare for fresh, modern UI design (in complex, desktop-based systems)
Able to articulate goals and objectives clearly and succinctly.
