Hours: Part time, 1st shift

Job Description:

Coordinates day-to-day activities in assigned unit, communicating information to the appropriate individuals/departments along with completing administrative duties relating to the care of residents at Living Branches. Also, will provide direct resident care duties based upon the individualized care plan/support plan of each resident, including attention to the residents’ personal care (hygiene, bed changes, etc.) with an extreme display of compassion.

Resident Assistant/Unit Clerk Duties:

· Ensures good lines of communication between Nursing/Personal Care staff, physicians, health care providers and other departments. Answers the telephones, accurately screening for information and routing phone calls appropriately.

· May coordinate lab services and transportation for resident appointments outside of Living Branches facilities as needed with family. Ensures that the resident's charts are up-to-date and ready to accompany the resident and family members on their scheduled visit.

· Maintains nurses' station as a neat and organized workspace.

· Enjoys helping others and don’t want to sit at a desk all-day

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • CPR Certified (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of HIPPA rules and regulations and of regulations and guidelines governing long-term care
  • Good communication skills and ability to effectively interact with others
  • Experience providing customer & personal services.
