Role: Utilities Geospatial Specialist
Role Summary: The Utilities Geospatial Specialist provides support directed at the implementation, maintenance, and advancement of the Utility GIS technology for water utility clients (water, sewer, and stormwater domains). The role is responsible for assessments and recommendations, application deployment, system administration and configuration, documentation, end user support and training, data analysis, data modeling, web service creation, application testing and troubleshooting.
Existing Water Utility Experience (Water Distribution, Sewer, Stormwater) Preferred
Essential Functions:
High proficiency with installation, configuration, and administration of ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online components (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Utility Network)
Ability to lead needs assessments/requirements meetings and identify/document solutions leveraging the enterprise GIS, especially for water, wastewater, and stormwater
Understanding of As-Builts and the ability to map pipe networks using Coordinate Geometry (COGO).
Evaluate quality and structure of existing data and develop action plans for migration to an enterprise GIS network geodatabase.
Work with customers and project team to determine requirements associated with implementation and configuration of software, tools, and technical processes
Train users on the use and adoption of GIS technologies, including Esri ArcGIS Online Field Apps.
Competencies and Skills:
Advanced knowledge of Esri software, with special emphasis on the ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Utility Network, and ArcGIS Pro.
Effective communicator possessing strong communication, both verbal and written, and interpersonal skills in a dynamic customer-centric environment
Exceptional customer service orientation
Strong team skills and the ability to work independently
Self-motivated to learn new technologies, industries, and business processes
Driven problem solver and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, environment with multiple simultaneous projects
