Purpose: To orchestrate sectional work activities to assure efficient manufacturing of a quality product that meets or exceeds expectations.
- Perform changeovers and completes changeover setup form
- Arranges assistance for changeover
- Mix or oversee the mixing of resins in middle and small area
- Completes paperwork for production sheet, labor log, scrap sheet and daily functional check sheet.
- Make sure scrap gets weighed and recorded on shift paperwork
- Set all secondary equipment (printer, punches, etc)and test functionality
- Supports and complies with safety and environmental guidelines
- Collects, weighs and documents all scrap; enters in system
- Bill of Materials adjustments and corrections
- Works a 12 hour day, 4 days a week; weekend work is mandatory
- Performs quality checks front to back (resins, silos, computer info., blender settings, etc.)
- Cleans around extruders and blenders
- Helps the team give breaks.
- Breaks will be dependent on the timing of changeovers, not predetermined times.
- Maintain proper labeling on all material drums, boxes and Gaylords.
- Clean out blenders/extruders during change-overs.
- Return all materials to proper location in racks.
- Combine all materials when possible to free up rack space.
- Keeps work area clean and clutter free.
- Make small adjustments to extruders, bag machines and winder equipment on all lines
- Set up all winders to facilitate effective and safe order changes on all lines
- Able to clear stacking wheel wrap ups safely
- Basic math skills
- Solid computer skills
- Good English skills; Bilingual a plus
- Experience with blown film extrusion
- Ability to troubleshoot & solve problems
- Ability to provide guidance and leadership
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must be punctual; at line on time
- Regularly required to move up to 50 lbs
- Regularly required to stretch and bend
