Summary of Job Description:

Supervise and oversee the development and coordination of the Clinical Department. Responsible for planning, organizing and overseeing the clinical needs of Taylor Recovery Center and it's sister facilities. Responsible for recruiting, hiring and training clinical staff and auditing programs.

Specific Responsibilities:

· Responsible for overall leadership of clinical department in the development and implementation of short and long range plans and policies.

· Responsible for the financial management of the Clinical Department, including the development and implementation of the annual budget.

· Responsible for the development, implementation, and accomplishment of the clinical department’s annual goals.

· Prepare and present for clinical trainings, residential trainings and at conferences.

· Internally and externally promote the Mission Statement and Vision of TRC.

· Responsible for department reports.

· Assure that the clinical department is complying with and maintaining appropriate standards for overseeing external agencies.

· Communicate and meet with clients and referrals as needed

· Responsible for employee relations within the clinical department.

· Provide direct support and supervision of clinical staff.

· Ensure quality of individual, group and family counseling/therapy.

· Oversee and facilitate clinical team meetings.

· Complete annual trainings.

· Other related duties as assigned.

• Analyze therapeutic processes and determine means of maintaining and/or increase efficiencies

• Ability to exercise independent judgment and leadership, analyze situations accurately and take effective action

• Capable of using effective leadership skills in daily interactions, planning and delegation of duties

Ability to prepare clear and concise reports and to interpret statistical data

• Model appropriate therapeutic and professional behavior; lead a group of diverse personalities.

• Instill and maintain a sense of professionalism within a high stress environment

Qualifications:

· Knowledge of company policies and practices (see policies and procedures manual).

· Knowledge of DSM-V disorders and other pertinent issues facing the clients and their families.

· Knowledge of the pertinent clinical terminology, and multiple therapeutic interventions and techniques.

· Knowledge of the laws regarding documentation, reporting, and confidentiality.

· Knowledge of the client programming

· Ability to use basic computer software and hardware.

· Ability to make critical decisions regarding clients based on input from multiple sources.

Education and Experience:

· A minimum of a Master degree (Doctoral degree preferred) in Social Work, Public Health Management or related field.

· Required: Five years’ experience running a detox or residential treatment facility.
