Job Description

Shift available:

Monday – Friday 10pm to 7am*

40 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities

As an Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the NIGHT SHIFT aspects of Terminal Operations within a next-day Courier company. Responsibilities will include:

• Offload inbound delivery trucks
• Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack
• Sort and scan packages
• Scan packages and report overages or shortages
• Inspect integrity of the packages received before sorting for delivery
• Delegating/Supervising product sorting
• Match delivery manifests
• Stage freight into appropriate delivery routes
• Prepare packages/loads for shipping
• Shipping and Receiving
• General Warehouse duties
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness

Qualifications:

• Experience in leadership/supervisory
• Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
• Anticipate, recognize, and deal effectively with existing or potential conflicts at the individual, group, or situation level
• Ability to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement, recognize, anticipate, and resolve organizational and operational issues
• Ability to adapt to changing environments
• Establish and maintain productive working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers
• Ability to meet or exceed team/driver needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
• Effective communication skills

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Experience in “Final Mile” transportation field.
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $17.00-$20.00 (DOE)
