Looking for energetic MIG Welder willing to learn how to use a Robot Welder on 1st Shift. The Plate welder is responsible for following all quality procedures and regulations while welding on plates used for the assembly of railroad track panels using various welding methods, such as MIG OR Stick The Welder may also require use of Air Arc, cutting torches, hand held grinders, material handling and packaging.

Education / Training:

Welding experience preferred, but must be able to pass welding test within first 90 days to become AWS D1.1 Certified.

High school education preferred.

There is currently an opening on our 1st Shift for a MIG Welder/Robot Welder (will train), starting hourly rate of $20.00 with a $1.00 per hour increase after 90 days and another $1.00 per hour increase at 12 months plus annual increases. Shift hours are 6:00am 4:30pm on Monday thru Thursday with required overtime, generally on Friday for approximately 7 hours.

Qualifications and Experience:

Maintaining welding proficiency as required by Progress Rail QSP 4.9 as well as any applicable local and international standards.

Must be able to read, write, and read a tape measure to the 1/32";

Must have a minimum of 6 months mig welding experience and/or training and education;

• Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision;

• Must be able to read and write legibly and complete production reports with accuracy;

• Strong attention to detail with ability to inspect rail using measuring devices;

• Must be quality oriented and a team player;

• Must have complete understanding of safe work practices.
