Job Summary:
Ingersoll Rand's Compression Technologies & Services Division ishiring for a dynamic, knowledgable, and energeticAccount Managerto join theirteam!
This role will be based out of our Kansas City, MO Customer Center andwill have responsibility for managing aterritorywithin the**Joplin/Springfield**area. While traveling within this specific geographic region, you will be responsible for driving "General LIne" (greater than 50HP) compressed air equipmentsales and service activity, which includes quoting, strategizing, prospecting, and developing relationships to achieve revenue targets, maximize profits, increase market share and maintain customer loyalty while achieving organizational goals. The position is a unique blend of supporting a major distributor and selling direct to customers.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for generating sales of equipment, service contracts, and service offerings with our direct end users and partners selling to a defined customer base within a geographic area.
Provide and design compressed air solutions to fulfill industrial customer needs, including compressed air equipment, accessories, turnkey installations, service, parts, service, rental equipment and energy audits.
Provide selling skills and product/services training for dealer sales personnel (as required) as well as personnel within customer center.
Ensure adherence to safety rules (vehicle safety, customer site safety) in the field, as well as in the customer center.
Managequote log, pipelineandrecordcustomer interactions inthe datamanagement system (Sales Force). Record follow-up activities(e.g. delivery), reporting (email) and database requirements.
Support and manage yourordersbyworking closely with theinside sales andservice team.
Maintain, develop and growexistingterritory through end user prospecting to obtainannual sales targetsforthe designated territory in both equipment and servicesales.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in an industrial sales business setting.
- Knowledge of Salesforce preferred
- Must possess avalid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years; Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractionsor preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish) would be beneficial, but not required
