Job Overview:
We are looking for a Café Attendant Supervisor to lead our team that maintains a warm & welcoming environment for our guests.
Café Attendant responsibilities include but are not limited to conducting regular checks on food to assure brand compliance, running food from kitchen to guests quickly to ensure product integrity, maintaining cleanliness throughout café, maintaining a clean dish area, and being a brand advocate by living and breathing our core values.
Ultimately, you’ll ensure that all our guests have a legendary customer experience, as well as your teammates.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Customer Service. At FairWave we expect our team to provide our guests with superior customer service standards. Our aim is to provide a memorable, positive experience to all of our guests that is second to none in our industry.
- Welcomes guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Stays current on menu offerings and is able to speak knowledgably to guests to answer any questions.
- Builds relationships with guests through friendly engagement.
- Ensuring daily & weekly tasks are completed by team.
- Frequent table touches with guests for highest quality customer service.
- Communicates with café leaders to initiate guest recovery practices when issues arise.
- Restocking FOH & BOH supplies.
- Bussing/Pre-bussing tables.
- Washing and restocking dishes in a timely manner.
- Deep cleaning dish area after use.
- Setting up sanitation station in dish area and expo hubs.
- Maintaining cleanliness & stocking of restroom areas.
Operations. At Fairwave we ask our team to stay up to date on best practices to ensure that we are always operating at full capacity. Part of operations requires relationship building, so as a contributing team member you can effectively and efficiently communicate to peers and leaders and vice versa.
- Maintains inventories by replenishing necessary supplies at guest service stations, behind bar, &
BOH. Stocking and replenishing products.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, advising café leadership when equipment issues arise.
- Creates daily deployment strategy for café attendant team.
- Provides coaching to café attendants to maintain company & brand standards and reports coaching to manager.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
- Takes initiative to maintain visual appearance of the entire space.
- Performs daily cleaning list & weekly deep clean list tasks.
- Participates in team meetings to stay current on current menu offerings.
- Engages with café manager for store, product, & process improvements.
- Follows all proper food and beverage safety procedures as outlined by the health department & company policies. Possess Food Handler Permit from KCMO department or other approved entities.
- Maintains all company standards as well as that requested by Ibis bakery or any of the company’s affiliates.
- Maintains a positive attitude. Treat everyone with respect, including customers, coworkers, management, baristas, and production teams.
- Thoroughly follows through with all cleaning assignments.
- Helps in other areas as needed. Such as running food, helping in the kitchen and dishwashing.
- Follows all proper safety procedures.
- Follows manager’s instructions.
- Communicates in a clear, professional manner.
- Supports management with any special requests or initiatives.

Preferred Education/Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Prior café, coffee shop, or restaurant experience a plus.
- Familiarity with telephone, office, and point-of-sale software.
- Food handlers’ card and liquor license (when applicable).
- Current driver’s license (when applicable).
