Job title: CNC Mazak Lathe Machinist

Reports to: Shop Foreman

Supervisory responsibilities: None.

Summary/objective: Eagle Industrial Group (EIG) is seeking a CNC Mazak Lathe Machinist to add to their day and night shift teams! Eagle Industrial Group utilizes Mazak turret lathes and Mazak Intregrex machines to make parts for various customers in industries such as tool and die, mold, agricultural, heavy equipment, etc.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with CNC Mazak Lathe Machines, both in programming and operating, and have the ability to view and interpret data and prints in order to make parts for customers

EIG offers a great work environment, with a clean shop and new equipment. Additionally, quarterly bonuses are given based on profit and performance.

Essential functions:

• Download programs and MDI (Manual Data Input) as needed.
• Ability to perform your own programming and running your details with little to no supervision.
• Setup and machine to the proper programs and tolerances required.
• Recheck setups, change cutters and inserts, and make adjustments as needed to achieve the best possible results.
• Maintain appropriate tools and keep current on calibration.
• Keep work area clean.
• Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management.
• Regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours.
• Employees may be requested to perform other job functions as required.

Required competency, education, and experience:

• Experience programming and operating CNC Mazak Lathes
• A well rounded knowledge of cutters and inserts, and feeds/speeds.
• Candidate must have high school or equivalent education.
• Candidate must have valid driver’s license

Preferred education and experience:

Work environment: Manufacturing environment

Physical demands:

• Candidate must have full use of all limbs.
• Candidate must be able to read and speak English.
• Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds.

Position type and expected hours of work: Full time, day or night shift available – 40 to 48 hours per week. EIG offers a very flexible work schedule that can be tailored around employee's needs and desires.
