Compensation Analyst Job at Crawford & Company
Position Summary
The Compensation Analyst maintains and manages compensation related information, tools, and resources critical in the administration and analysis of the Company’s compensation programs and plans. This role partners with other HR Teams and departments within the company to ensure the accurate and timely administration of the Company’s pay practices, policies, and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITES
- Conducts compensation analysis to advise on appropriate salary placement for new hires and employee job changes according to organizational guidelines.
- Ensures compensation programs and job classifications comply with applicable wage and hour laws.
- Reviews and maintains job descriptions ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. Assigns and maintains job codes.
- Conducts job evaluations to determine appropriate placement within the salary structure to maintain internal equity and ensuring alignment with market pay data.
- Develops and documents compensation related procedures; ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Partners with HR managers to educate business leaders on compensation policies and practices.
- Provides tactical support on a variety of projects such as compensation structure review, job analyses, or new compensation initiatives.
- Manages compensation related projects including FLSA analysis, annual merit review, and compensation integration for mergers and acquisitions.
- Assists with the administration of bonus and incentive compensation plans.
- Maintains compensation related elements and modules in HRIS.
- Acts as company administrator in compensation and survey administration software and tools.
- Maintains, organizes, and catalogs compensation related documents, tools, files, and folders.
- Participates in compensation surveys and manages the organization and distribution of survey results.
- Participates on special projects as requested.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in compensation administration and analysis.
- Experience working with Human Resource management systems and their compensation modules.
- Solid experience interpreting compensation survey data used to market price jobs.
- Proven experience participating in salary surveys, collecting, collating, and reporting on compensation data.
- Experience evaluating jobs and maintaining job descriptions.
- Experience working with job pricing software and applications.
- Must complete continuing education requirements as outlined by Crawford Educational Services.
- Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail and accuracy.
- Working knowledge and understanding of standard compensation administration standards and best practices.
- Full understanding of regulatory considerations related to compensation administration.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and critical deadlines.
- Computer proficiency including Word and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the confidence to interact with all levels of an organization.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
