The scripting development use case I was given is someone who could help with data engineering in terms of pushing customer data into elasticsearch. Would be data formatting, correlation of data across different sources, helping build dashboards and support the analysts who look at this data (add new requested features). Would similarly be doing these things for the internal network (setting up monitoring, logging for defensive security awareness).
So the security piece is more or less network and host monitoring as well as engineering/implementing better network/host monitoring systems on the internal network.
And the development/coding piece is going to be mostly involving data ingesting/correlation within ELK (elasticsearch, logstash, kibana)
