Door & Drawer Position
General Duties
- Following set production schedule which lists sequence of lengths to be cut.
- Set up and adjustment of the saw
- Operation of the saw which involves loading the lengths of wood to be cut and unloading of the cut to size pieces after the cutting operation
- Input of specifications into computer located on the saw
- Stacking of cut to size parts on a pallet
- Record keeping of Production output
- Ability to perform different machine operator tasks when Salvador Saw is not operating.
- Expectations
- Production of cut parts at an average rate of 400 pieces per hour for an eight hour shift.
- Cut Quality should meet or surpass customer requirements in squareness, tolerance of length and overall appearance.
- Other tasks as assigned (machine operator) must meet criteria standard specifications in the areas of quality and output.
Physical Requirements
- Standing— 100 percent of time
- Bending -20 percent of time
- Lifting—5 to 30 lbs. continuously. Lifting 40 lbs. 10 to 15 times per day.
- Walking—5 percent of time.
