Basic Function and Responsibility:
Leads coordination, execution, and reporting measures for all outreach activities and assessments across the east central region of Indiana in order to identify children at risk of developmental delays. Works collaboratively with the local school districts, First Steps, Early Head Start & daycare facilities to promote early identification of children who are not meeting age-appropriate cognitive and social-emotional developmental milestones. Will be the catalyst to provide community education in regards to the availability of early intervention services through distribution of materials, consistent visibility through collaborative partnerships, and strategic participation in events within various communities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Development
- Develop and distribute educational resource materials regarding the availability of developmental assessment screenings and early intervention services within the communities served in east central Indiana;
- Provide cognitive and social-emotional developmental assessment screenings to children ages two (2) months through five (5) years of age through a variety of collaborative partnership and community events across service territory;
- Serve as an advocate for children and families, providing continuous constructive communication to parents and families of children who complete ongoing developmental screenings, with goal of creating a file history that can be communicated to local educators as the child reaches their school age years;
- Coordinate all facets of the EXCEL program, including but not limited to the inventory and purchase of program and marketing materials, communication and scheduling of developmental assessment screenings, and registration for local community event participation;
- Manage all program-specific social media and marketing campaigns, including regular communication with collaborative and funded partners.
- As deemed relevant, identify and participate in a minimum of two (2) professional development opportunities on an annual basis.
Fund Development
- Partner with President/CEO to identify, submit, secure, and report impact results for all funding partnerships, donors, and grants written to support the EXCEL program;
- Highlight all funding partners throughout program materials and social media outlets in a consistent and timely manner;
- Attend all related events for funding partnership organizations, coordinating with President/CEO for full visibility in current and potential growth arenas;
- As deemed relevant, attend and participate in a minimum of one (1) professional development opportunities surrounding fund development on an annual basis.

Desirable Qualifications: Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education with minimum one year of experience in the field preferred. High School diploma or GED and a minimum of three years of experience in the provision of Early Childhood Education/Care. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with development of community events and public speaking preferred. Proven ability to work with a diverse population required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.80 - $17.05 per hour
