PRIMARY PURPOSE:
As a Laundry Sorter, you will be responsible for hamper placement and sorting laundry into the correct hampers based on size and type.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Deposit mixed soiled laundry onto conveyor belt
- Separate soiled linen based on linen type and size
- Place sorted linen into appropriate bin
- Stage hampers in such a way as to accommodate correct sorting
- Remove full hampers and replace with empty as necessary
- Position full hampers correctly for washer loading
- Perform other job-related duties as requested
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to adhere to and promote all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations as they pertain to the safe operation of all elements; participate in all required health and safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
PREFERRED:
- Experience working in a similar resort setting
