Ohio Pet Foods, Inc. is currently seeking an individual to work full-time in our
Maintenance Department at our Lisbon, Ohio manufacturing facility. This will be a 2nd shift/afternoon position.

Nature & Scope:

Responsible for ensuring quality products are produced by properly operating extrusion and related equipment. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Specific Job Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Adhere to all safety requirements in the plant
  • Follow all Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Accurate completion of all required paperwork
  • Maintain proper housekeeping standards of the area during shift
  • Communicating effectively with team leader and peers.
  • Safely Troubleshooting electrical circuits with a voltmeter.
  • Makes all necessary mechanical repairs on equipment, including replacement, repair, and installation of sleeves, bearings gears, shafts, pins, sheaves, pulleys, belts, etc, installation and ability to determine correct materials for each service.
  • Can read and understand piping specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Safe operation of industrial equipment such as forklifts, hoists, etc.
  • Ability to perform PM’s and make necessary repairs to Forklifts.
  • Machinery repair and installation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair steam systems.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, Air Compressors, Boiler Systems, Liquid Handling, and Pumping.
  • Pump repair and installation.
  • Experience in using welding equipment and the ability to weld stainless steel, iron, and aluminum. General steel and sheet metal fabrication.
  • Knowledge of lubrication and proper uses.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience in using hand tools properly and safely
  • Maintains and improves preventative/predictive maintenance programs
  • Able to work from all heights
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education. Technical degree preferable
  • Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules, overtime as needed.
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate in the English language
  • Successful completion of a substance screening and background check

Experience

  • 2-5years experience in maintenance manufacturing environment preferably in a food/packaging production facility
  • 2-5 years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Additional training will be completed on the job.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to cold and hot/humid temperatures within the plant, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Pay: $14.00 - $21.00 per hour
