Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

The Bilingual Department Secretary is responsible for providing administrative and patient support in our predominantly Spanish speaking, outpatient clinic setting. This will include but is not limited to, greeting patients and guests, registration, scheduling, answering phones, producing daily logs and electronic filing, collecting payment, verifying insurance benefits, obtaining prior authorizations, scheduling referrals, prepping medical records for requests, referrals and end of the month charts, and posting charges.

Qualifications you will need:

• 1-2 years of experience as a medical receptionist and/or medical secretary
• Bilingual (Spanish and English) required.
• Must be computer literate with experience in Windows applications, word processing and spreadsheets.
• Must posses appropriate communication skills necessary for working with professional staff.
• Billing / Coding experience a plus
