Packager Job Summary:
As a Packager your main responsibility is to setup and operate banding equipment to properly package materials and prepare for shipment to our customers. Once the material is packaged you will move to a storage area with a forklift or overhead crane. In this role, you will have exposure to our finished goods and learn more about our customers and end product.
Packager Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare skids to customer specifications.
- Operate turnstile, down layer, banding line equipment and crane as needed to package material.
- Package material to meet customer specifications per customer supplied information and standard packaging instructions.
- Ensure proper identification and segregation.
- Safely handle material without damage.
Shift:
AM Monday - Thursday 5 am - 3:30 pm
PM Monday - Thursday 5 pm - 3:30 am
Friday - Sunday 5 am - 5:30 pm (Work 36 hours get paid for 40 hours)
To Be Successful:
- Ability to comply with safety rules and requirements
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.75 - $17.75 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

All customers are required to wear a mask. All surfaces are sanitized regularly.

- Smyrna, TN 37167: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
