Process Technician
General Purpose
Maintain molding process to ensure quality parts are produced.
Essential Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Maintain processes of Molding Machines for sustainable quality parts
- Troubleshoot Molding Problems
- Routine Visual Inspection of Product
- Maintain Documentation of the Production systems
- Continuous Improvement on the production floor for 5S and Lean Manufacturing
- To assist all Departments with the goal of Maintaining Uptime of the Molding Machines
- To work within all the guidelines as specified by Company Policies.
- Teamwork with all Support Groups
Education and Experience
- Understanding of Material Types
- Understanding of Basic Molding Techniques
- Able to comprehend the Manufacturing books
- Understanding of an Injection Molding Machine and its functions
- Understanding and Use of our Visual Manufacturing System.
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude
- Basic Math Comprehension
- GED and 5-7 years of experience in the Plastic Industry required
Key Competencies
- Time Management
- Basic Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Electrical Connections
- Forklift License
- Basic Knowledge of Injection Molding Machinery
- Basic Knowledge of Injection Mold Operation
- Molding Principles
Job Related Activities:
- Mold Changes - Overs
- Color Changes - Overs
- Material Change – Overs
- Robotics
Physical Requirements:
- Push, Pull and or Lift 50 lbs.
- Able to Twist and Turn while lifting 25 lbs.
- Able to Stand Continually for a period of no less than 3 hours
- Ability to work on Press, Inside of Press, Under Press for Installation of Molds, Cleaning of Molds, Containment of Parts, General PM and any other activities that may require attention during a Production Shift.
