Vice President of Strategy Job at VLS Environmental Solutions
The Vice President, Outlet Strategy builds third party partnerships for the Companies AEF(Alternative Engineered Fuel) products and works with business partners in the assigned markets to promote the products, maintain distribution channels and identify greenfield opportunities for new facilities.
They will expand the Companies capacity by identifying third-party partnership opportunities in new and existing markets and by conducting market studies to identify inbound feedstock material to be able to service partnership demand. They possess strong technical product knowledge and cultural awareness of the customer demographics. They are creative and resourceful and have good communication and negotiation skills.
This role has a large impact on the company?s sales offerings and P&L and will report to the Executive Vice President, Waste Services.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop a strong, comprehensive understanding of VLS? operational capabilities.
- Maintain/develop high level relationships with our third-party partners.
- Coordinate volume strategy with VLS Regional VPs
- Qualify third-party partnerships based on their abilities and inbound volume potentials.
- Negotiate rates and or terms of operations with 3rd party partners.
- Support operational team with creative solutions, like fuel blend types.
- Represent VLS in meetings and conferences, including presentations.
- Manage employees and consultants in step with outlet goals.
- Support sales team on new opportunities.
- Qualify new direct fuel streams, like peanut hulls or tire fluff.
- Monitor outlet volumes to budget weekly to monthly.
- Identify greenfield opportunities.
- Develop and manage market research plans.
- Present growth plans to executive management and board of directors.
