Our team is growing to meet our customer demands and we are adding a Packaging Supervisor to our operation in Maxton, NC. This team member will be responsible for coordinating the flow of product into and out of our We Pack Facilities. Apply today to join our team and help us exceed our customer’s growing needs!
JOBSITE LOCATION: Maxton, NC
STARTING PAYRATE: $20-23/hr depending on experience
PRIMARY WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 12am (weekends only as needed)
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Studies production order to ascertain type and quantity of product, containers to be used, and other packaging requirements.
- Inspects product prior to packaging and returns rejected products to customer inventories.
- Observes packaging operations and inspects products to verify conformance to specification and compliance with food safety and quality requirements.
- Starts, adjusts, and repairs packaging machinery or notifies the maintenance department.
- Requisitions supplies for delivery to packaging operations.
- Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of schedule.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces compliance.
- Recommends changes to work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Recommends measure to improve production methods, equipment, performance and quality/safety of product.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of packaging department.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Maintains time and production records.
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Coordinates production start-up, shut down and change overs.
- Balances available resources to ensure optimum production results.
Education and Experience Requirements: A minimum of four years related experience and/or training; Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or Associates degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
