EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• 7+ years of experience in back-end engineering and knowledge of working in a Node.JS/TypeScript or .NET Core environment
• Experience writing Unit Tests utilizing a framework (Mocha/Chai, Expect, Jest, etc) and practicing test driven development
• Experience in working with and maintaining cloud infrastructure
• Working understanding of Git
• Proven understanding of object-oriented and functional design patterns
• Proven understanding of microservice architecture.
• Experience in client architecture and performance optimization tools in the mobile space
• Good debugging and problem solving both individually and in a team
• Excellent communication, and interaction skills; collaborating in a team environment
• Passion for learning new technologies and mentoring others on those technologies
• Preferred Experience and/or Education: Experience working with C#, monorepos, NodeJS, ReactJS, lerna, Yarn workspaces, OAS(Swagger/OpenAPI), Docker, Istio, Kubernetes, gRPC/Protobuf, CircleCI; Kafka and Flink; Experience with Golang, Prometheus, Grafana, .NET 5, .NET Entity Framework, and Terraform; Experience working with NoSQL Databases and Real-time Document Stores preferred. Ideally Firebase/Firestore experience

• Designs solutions in a production setting using open source frameworks and strong problem-solving skills
• Builds gRPC/RESTful APIs leveraged by internal and external resources
• Builds microservice applications within a Docker/Kubernetes environment that utilizes Kafka for event processing
• Practices test-driven development and writes industry-standard unit tests in Jest
• Helps define the frameworks used for building, testing and deploying software
• Works with cross-functional teams to assist with integration
• Assists with application deployments in Cloud environments (AWS and GoogleCloud)
• Partners closely with Design and Product to craft great product experiences
• Takes full ownership of a feature from conception to launch
• Participates in peer code reviews an Agile development activities
• Works closely with QA to ensure quality of the product
• Champions agile development, continue deployment and integration elegant design and team work
