SUMMARY
This is a full-time non-exempt position primarily responsible for providing behavioral health system intake services to adult and/or child/adolescent clients. Responsible for crisis and Casemanagement assessment and coordination with various other services as part of the Base Service Unit Team. Primary work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch (37.5 hours/week) unless otherwise agreed upon.

As with all WCSI positions, it is the expectation that employees adhere to WCSI, County, State and Federal guidelines, regulation, policies and laws which govern the business and service of WCSI.
This position requires the employee to perform their daily job duties and responsibilities in a structured work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following, (other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management):
Intake and Assessment Activities:
Provides assessment and linkage to services regarding the behavioral health and psycho social needs of clients. Secures information such as medical, psychological and social factors contributing to client's situation and evaluates these and client's capacities. Refers clients to providers, community resources and other organizations. Documents all service contacts, compiles records and prepares reports. Accesses and records client and community resource information. Secures supplementary information such as employment, medical records or school reports. Determines and/or explains client's eligibility for financial assistance.
Coordinates with MCO's, county and community behavioral health providers; tracking and coordination of service authorizations for individuals receiving services from the BSU; completing all registrations and service activity documentation accurately and promptly.
May participate in crisis intervention/hospitalization coordination.
Related Service Management Activities:
Intake services are provided within the community (hospitals, outpatient clinics, BSU satellite sites), as well as, on site. Responsible for agency-wide intake and referral duties.
Professional/Technical Responsibilities:
Extensive knowledge of theories, principles, and techniques related to service provided. Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationship with clients, associates and agency personnel. Knowledge of community resources and ability to facilitate coordination activities. Able to be flexible, adjust work hours based upon program and client needs. Display a professional standard of effective teamwork in the provision of Intake Services.
